Value Based Questions (VBQs) have become an integral part of CBSE board examinations, designed to promote critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and concept clarity among students. For Classes 9 to 12, VBQs are asked in subjects such as Science, Mathematics, Social Science, English, Hindi, and more, usually carrying 4 to 5 marks or more in the exams. These questions help students apply their academic learning to real-life scenarios, reinforcing values such as responsibility, honesty, compassion, and logical thinking.

By practicing Value Based Questions, students not only strengthen their conceptual understanding but also enhance their analytical and problem-solving abilities. These questions are generally derived from the NCERT syllabus and demand that students interpret the situation thoughtfully using their subject knowledge.
